Can heaven and hell ever truly get along? As the story of Hornsby & Halo continues to unfold, the more it seems that is unlikely. Moving forward means letting go of the past. Something many heaven and hell subjects don't seem fond of. However, the more we learn about Rose and Zachary, the more similar they seem to be. Hornsby and Halo keeps on rolling with another breezy, fun issue. The questions are gradually piling up, but Tomasis self-assured pacing has ensured the story remains captivating. With strong work from the art team, theres no need to question if this is a book that can last. Ghost Machine is cranking out one quality title after another and this might be the gem of the latest slate of releases. Read Full Review

At the end of the issue, it's still difficult to tell whether or not the series is going to go in a direction that's going to feel truly original. As it is the contemporary horror, contemporary fantasy elements still don't quite feel like they found their own voice yet. This is going to come in time as the mythology of the world gets a little bit more sharply rendered in and around the edges of the emotional center formed by the title characters. Read Full Review

HORNSBY & HALO #3 ups the ante on Zach and Rose's weird life when a zombie horde attacks the town, exposing their secret to each other. Peter J. Tomasi's middle-of-the-road script is serviceable, but it lacks a clear foundation or reason to care, and Peter Snejbjerg's artwork is just okay. Read Full Review

Plot Zachary Halo discovers that his parents are the ones who ordered the thieves to raid graves to steal the belongings with which several people were buried, precisely the necklace that Rose Hornsby had. He can no longer be disappointed. But a celestial being wishes to make the dead of the town of Warwick resurrect and chase Zachary and Rose to recover their belongings, it is an interesting zombie chase sequence. Zachary uses an artifact that mysteriously arrived at his door, a feather that when eaten makes both release their powers. This installment increases the mysteries and paranormal terror, when a horde of zombies attack the city. The archetypes of both characters complement each other on several levels, so much so that the s hadow / what each one represses is precisely the destiny of the other. These repressed personalities are becoming the destiny of each one. Art It creates a balance between naive art but with gloomy touches and many details.
