Haunt You to the End #1

Theres a whole John W. Campbell Who Goes There? feel to the series. A group of experts in a few different areas dive into the unknown. Some of the better examples of this sort of thing in pop fiction tend to be sci-fi horror. Cady and Mutti take a group of people who dont seem to believe in ghosts into the heart of supernatural horror while also fusing the narrative with a post-apocalyptic vibe. Haunt You To The End #1is a great beginning to a series with the potential to truly satisfy on the sensations of fear and deeply human character work the best of the genre can offer. I look forward to the next revelation in the mystery behind Isla Lodo, Shahs mission, and what his crew will face when they finally arrive at the Rassmussen Mansion, the epicenter of the island's otherworldly occurrences. So this book was good. The art wasn’t in a style I like but the story kept me going to the end. It’s kinda a post apocalyptic ghost hunt. Humans have destroyed the reality and now the atmosphere and air quality is dangerous. A billionaire tries to get a team to investigate a haunted island that after the week is t going to exist any more. Also a fun fact about this comic is that in the beginning it shows the, going through a hotel in LA they make a comment how at one time it was the most haunted place in California. This hotel is called The Cecil and I just so happened to stay there when I took a trip out there.

I do love a good ghost story and this was strangely slow to burn but has a high level of promise. The art for me didn't quite hit levels that I had anticipated as I love his work but I put that down to a script that needed a bit of a nudge along quicker. Not bad for an issue 1 and at least Top Cow get a 10/10 for the subject material

I felt bored at the beginning, but I felt like it corrected itself and will have me back for issue 2. It gives you just enough to want to know more.
