Overall, if you're looking for an action packed thrill ride with good action and great writing, then I would highly recommend picking up this issue of Hardcore. As with many second issues the plot isn't significantly advanced. This seems to be a problem with modern comic books, where writers don't seem to know quite how to move things on in the second issue. What we get is fine, if a little perfunctory. Using a high speed chase renders some exciting art, but it is all a little underwhelming, as narratively it feels like we're treading water. I hope that issue three will offer us a little more, or my pull list might become one comic lighter in a month or two.
