    Horror DNA - James Ferguson

Grizzly Shark is such a damn enjoyable comic.  I read this with a grin on my face and had several laugh-out-loud moments.  That's probably saying something about my sense of humor, but I'm willing to bet that if you're reading this, you're in the same bucket.  Ryan Ottley delivers massive amounts of ridiculous fun in these 32 pages.  They just happen to be covered in blood. I didn't catch Grizzly Shark when it first came out" So I wasn't prepared for the onslaught of slapstick gore, brutal shark chomping violence and uncompromising dumb-fun that would transport me to a world of utter ridiculous brilliance in a one-sitting read Read Full Review

But I gotta say, while it didn't evoke the peals of laughter I was expecting, GrizzlyShark was as full-tilt delirious as you'd expect, and a pretty great way to spend a good 15 minutes. I'll definitely be back for more. Read Full Review

Geeked Out Nation - Grant Raycroft

    Apr 07, 2016

Grizzlyshark #1 isn't the most necessary book on the market but it knows what it wants to be and executes that without fail. This is mostly Ryan Ottley's creation and the singular vision shines through. It's a book full of blood and sleaze, like it might have come from the minds of a Troma writer. The artwork matches the tone perfectly and Ivan Plascencia does masterful work on colors. Still it's primarily fluff and humor which varies between readers but if it's up your alley you should check it out. Read Full Review

Big Comic Page - Chris Downs

Admittedly your enjoyment will entirely depend of whether you have a love of this brand of crazy, lowest-common-denominator black comedy, and some will blow it off as vapid nonsense, but Ottley is clearly having a blast here and reveling in the insanity, and has a wonderful sense of comic timing. And next issue promises even more, as our one-and-a-half survivors are pursued by our vengeful antagonist and, with Sea Bear yet to make an appearance, the series is bound to get even more outrageous. Grizzly Shark can't be beat in terms of absurd fun, except maybe by Sea Bear. This is a coloured reprint of the original Grizzly Shark feature, as a result I would have preferred a $2.99 price tag, but at least it's $3.50 and not $3.99. I remember loving this a few years ago and it still holds up now, I can't wait to sea what crazy sharks are coming next.
