Comic Bastards - Damien Becton
Jul 04, 2018Death or Glory #3 is very easily the best issue in an already good comic book. Remender effectively provides Glory with character development without sacrificing the thrills and action. Bengal also provides the art that is necessary to tell such an engaging and exhilarating story. The fact that this issue is kind of a bottle episode in which all of the story takes place in Korean Joe's Chop Shop is a credit to Remender and Bengal. Well, Death or Glory passes the difficult third issue test with aplomb, giving us some required background context before switching onto the contemporary action sequence of the closer. We now have the motivations behind the characters' actions and a great platform for moving forward. Top comic series continues in a strong fashion. Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - Brent Jackson
Jul 03, 2018While I am still enjoying the artwork in Death or Glory #3, the story as a whole is starting to lose me. I feel like I missedsomething or something is missing from the story. I can't quite put my finger on what it is, exactly. As I read this issue I just had that nagging feeling that I had missed out on something from the story. Glory herself seems to have lost that uniqueness to her that was so prevalent in the first issue. Death or Glory #3 is not bad but it's hovering in the middle of keeping my interest. Read Full Review

This was an amazing issue. We get a compelling backstory that was perfectly told and seamlessly blends back in with the current story, and then a pulse-pounding heist/rescue scene leading to a terrifying cliffhanger. This issue is a perfect example of why Rick Remender is one of the best writers in comics.

Wow so I really enjoyed this comic, the main story feels intense and I can't wait for #4. -1 for the first half of the comic. Not to say it was bad, I felt the back story was touching however the political overtones felt forced. I get this book has a multiple messages and themes, its just seems to be trying a bit too hard. +1 for the Bullit inspired cover!!
