What a sight for sore eyes it isto see the harsh small-town of Copperhead again. Clearly paving the way for plenty of drama, this issue delivers everything we've come to expect from this team and everything that makes visiting Copperhead every month a romp and a half. There's so much more left to explore and even if this issue stops to take its breath while introducing some new characters and directions, it still feels like putting back on the best damn fitting boots you've ever owned. Three dimensional characterization, imaginative and vast visuals, constant subversion of genre-tropes, and a wealth of trails to go down, Copperhead #6 is more than worth buying a ticket to visit. This arc is off to an interesting, if different, start. The narrative is less focused but still wonderfully expressive and, human. There’s a lot going on in the small mining town of Copperhead and I fully trust these creators to do what they do best in bringing it to life. Read Full Review

But well see going forward, and my criticisms I can easily dismiss myself with thats world-building for you. So if youve been digging the series so far, this will continue to pressurise your spaceplane (thats…what…she said?). If you werent sold, this doesnt take any pains to reel you in - which is something of a shame, because there remains a heck of a lot of potential in this world, and theres every possibility that it could properly fill out the bold claim of Deadwood in space that we were promised at the start.
