Comics: The Gathering - F-O-R-R-E-S-T
Jan 14, 2015The end of this first arc perfectly exemplifies everything I’ve liked about this comic from the very first issue. Copperhead is a place that could exist out there in the stars in the future, somewhere wildly different from the life on this planet we know now, but one that still has family, heartbreak, deceit and heroism. Maybe, that place already exists and these creators are merely telling that place’s stories to us. It seems that authentic, after all. Read Full Review

Jan 14, 2015It's now placed itself to expand even further in its next arc and really let loose now that we know who the characters are. This year should be a big one for the series and its creators. Copperhead is a must buy if fantastic art and intelligent storytelling is your kind of thing. Read Full Review

All-Comic - Alex Mansfield
Jan 14, 2015Issue #5 slowed things down, which might disappoint some, but there's a lot of road left down the trail and what we got in return was an expected vibrant visual treat heavy on keeping the story tonally true and fleshing out already captivating characters. Faerber tacitly plants hints as to the multitude of ideas still left to mine, but Copperhead is in no rush to start blasting lasers for the sake of action or bleeding clichs dry to appease trope requirements. No, it'll continue to mosey at its confident pace building a rich, character-driven experience. Read Full Review

Capeless Crusader - Cody Mudge
Jan 13, 2015"Copperhead #5" proves that adding a few elements to a police procedural makes it infinitely more appealing. Add aliens, the dynamic of a Western and a setting that is distinctly science-fiction and you've added enough to get away with a safe story and clichd characters. Read Full Review
