Bully Wars have started very strong and I hope that it can continue with this momentum because I am in love with this series already. I didn’t realize how much I missed gross and obnoxious illustrated media until I opened up this first issue. I picked up this comic as a little challenge to myself, because it's not a comic I would've naturally picked up off the shelf. And I'm not sure I'm sticking with this title for the long run. I do recommend this for a slightly younger audience. I know that as a teen I would've loved the gross, madcap artwork in this issue, and the storyline is funny and light. The setup is funny and holds promise for some good laughs. Conley's style is extremely close to Young's though not quite as kinetic.

For nostalgic purposes this book reminds me of the old school cartoon recess but I don't think this book missed on a lot of levels
