Sep 10, 2025This issue really drives home the message that this story is based around, while expanding the plot and drawing the reader fully in. Benito Cereno does an excellent job of pushing the story forward while delivering a clear message within the story. The message of a lesser class plays into real life issues of racism and really makes the story relatable. Cereno delivers this message without being didactive which makes it palatable to all readers. The fact that he can walk the line of delivering a direct message while delivering a great story with great action is a testament to how good of a writer he is. Read Full Review
