When the last stars flicker and fade, who will be the only Cybertronian left? The planet Donnokt sits on the edge of the universe, far away from all the stars that are flickering and fading out one last time. It is a world on the precipice of revolution-industrialization-taking its first steps into the realms of the mechanical. And on the far edge of nowhere, a Visitor arrives, and Donnokt will never be the same again. The war for Cybertron may be long over... but the war from Cybertron never ends.

This book is an interesting, genre bending treat with an epic scope, incredible art and mysterious protagonist. Clearly this combines elements of Clint Eastwood and Old Man Logan, but it's an exciting tale with absolutely unique style and art. Seeing Rodimus at the end of it all fighting against himself and his attackers is a fascinating basis for the series. Read Full Review

The book is definitely going for a "Transformers meets Logan" vibe, but your mileage will vary based on how well you like the non-robotic characters. Read Full Review

Transformers: Last Bot Standing #1 isn't a bad start, it's just not exciting. It has all the chance of people something great going forward but it takes too long to get to the point and what we've come for. It almost feels like two comics and those two don't quite line up. Still, there's just enough I want to read more and see if the series goes where it could and really deliver something special. Read Full Review

Overall, Transformers: The Last Bot Standing #1 is a great beginning to this space western. The story by Nick Roche is exciting. The art by the creative team is gorgeous. Altogether, it's a story that's a fine addition to the Space Western canon. Read Full Review

It's rare for non-cybertronian support cast be any good, but these ones seem somewhat promising. No idea what the hell is going on with Rodimus, but I'm looking forward to finding out.
