We The Nerdy - Oscar Russell

What is also pretty neat about this book, is that on the face of it and just explaining the concept of it to a stranger they would think you might need gloves to read it, they might also think that it was going to be a slightly risqu book. However, what Taran Killam together with Marc Andreyko do is make this a classy little book, that you wouldn't hide from your Nan when she comes round for tea, hey, you might even let her have a read. Comic Book Therapy - Cody "The Thorverine" Ferrell

Illegitimates is a book with a lot of promise, it just needs to start diving into the characters deeper than what we can read on their bio pages. Things started out with a laugh and a bang, but this issue takes a small step back. There are is still four issues to go so there's plenty of time. This is a solid book that's worth keeping up with for now. Read Full Review

Unleash The Fanboy - John McCubbin

This was a good issue, but despite the limited action and brilliant character development there wasn't a lot that thrilled me. It was however still a fantastic read and if it builds strongly from the developments in this issue it could easily become a terrific series. Recommended. Read Full Review

    Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal

There really wasn't a lot to enjoy or like in this issue. It just sets up the plot for the characters and since we as the reader were already aware of the plot" it's dull. There's no spy jokes or over the top moments. No heads exploding or anything really. If this was a movie, this would be when you went to the bathroom because you know that nothing is happening that you can't miss or be caught up on with a quick sentence. It's a shame, but hopefully it'll return to being fun in the next issue; if not then I don't see myself sticking around for much more. Read Full Review

    Major Spoilers - Kevin Mak

    Jan 20, 2014

After two issues, Illegitimates have finally set the foundation for their story. Although it is a unique concept with roots in an established movie franchise, characters ring hollow with little substance supporting the overall story. Original ideas have potential, but can still come across as clich if they are not executed properly. So far, Illegitimates needs more development to become a decent series. Read Full Review
