Star Trek: The Mirror War: Troi #1

Overall, Star Trek: The Mirror War Troi #1 is an intriguing take on my personal favorite from the Star Trek: The Next Generation, one that proves that sometimes a mind is more dangerous than any man made weapon. The story by Nijkamp is intractably woven. The art by the creative team is gorgeous. I'm not sure why we needed this one shot and the art is only so-so. We find out that Troi may have been playing a game from the beginning, but I'm not sure what. She left Betazed when she was one of the rulers to try to become the empress. I'm just confused about her motivations, which deminished the action of the book.
