  With a late arrival to the issue, it looks like the Misfits and the Holograms will be ready for a showdown against Silica. Issues like this leave the creators with a promise of something big to happen in the next issue. Now all the team has to do is deliver a battle which really resonates with the readers.   While it is disappointing a more original backstory has not occurred, this is an important issue of Jem and the Holograms that can't be missed out as it is pivotal to following the overall story. Missing this one out would cause readers to lose focus on what is going on and not be able to pick up the next issue. Overall Jem and the Holograms is a still a cute teenage comic with undertones of girl power, but the writers maybe need to brainstorm a bit harderwhen developing their storylines. Read Full Review

  Issue fifteen is a weaker installment, one that doesn't feel crucial to the overall Dark Jem plot. Ultimately the whole issue is a lead-up to a big reveal that isn't given the dramatic weight it deserves. Not a bad issue by any stretch of the imagination, but kind of a weak one. Read Full Review
