No more sci-fi catastrophes for Atomic Robo. This is now a quiet series about the charming antics and sitcom misunderstandings that happen at a boarding school for future Action Scientists. Also, Robo's hiding a secret AI son in the basement... Bye!
Celebrating 10 years of Atomic Robo!
It's the dawn of a... wait a second... the title says it all!
Robo as a teacher and a dad?! Heck yeah!

Jan 14, 2019Though Atomic Robo has been around for some time, this is the perfect jumping in point for new readers. All the characters are smoothly introduced and several story threads begun. The visuals are unique and entirely engrossing. The same can also be said of the colors and letters. This is the perfect comic book and if you're not reading this you're missing out on one of the most wonderful books created. Highest possible recommendation. Read Full Review

The Brazen Bull - Robert Zadotti
Jan 08, 2019Atomic Robo's first entry into a new series will be an enjoyable step forward for fans and anyone craving more from the character, but the more laidback tone and lack of explanation might alienate new fans. Regardless, it's a strong start to a new era for the eponymous automaton, and longtime followers will want to be along for the ride. Read Full Review

Comics Bulletin - Stephen Cook
Jan 09, 2019Honestly, it may be a bit slow for kids. If you're looking to share the Atomic love, start them on some of the more fantastical yarns in the back catalogue (freely available online). And I'll also admit that if this were a writer I had not read before, I would be less interested. But Clevinger has the chops to bring a plot together and there's enough ominous foreshadowing to get excited for the next issue. Read Full Review

Razorfine - Alan Rapp
Jan 15, 2019The first issue gives us a feel for the new recruits and foreshadows potential issues on Bernard's adventure. However, it's Robo's conversations with Alan that prove the most interesting. In instructing his "son" the history of robotics and humanity the lesson turns philosophical and Robo finds himself in the unenviable position of a father asked a question he wasn't prepared for and doesn't know how to answer. Worth a look. Read Full Review
