    AIPT - David Brooke

I've enjoyed this series more than any event book Marvel or DC has put out in months. The story is paced well, always interesting and the character dynamics work. If they don't continue this series after issue #5 or find a way to bring these characters back together I will be a very sad boy. Read Full Review

Kings Watch delivers on all fronts. There's only one problem with Parker and Laming's story- it's only five issues long. Dynamite does pulp well, but these three heroes are a whole new ballgame. The wait for the finale is going to be unbearable. Read Full Review

    Multiversity Comics - Brian Salvatore

This issue, in particular, showcases the action, and sets up the big finale between Ming's forces and the Flash Gordon/Mandrake/Phantom gang. There is a lot to like here, from Laming's Golden Age inspirations to Parker's ever-logical plotting, to seeing characters from the childhood of every generation since the Great Depression ride again. News that Parker will be continuing to write Flash's adventures is wonderful " but don't miss this mini, which has done a great job re-establishing these characters. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Ian Stephen

    Feb 21, 2014

So far this has been a fun little mini-series that came out swinging from issue one and has yet to let up. Only one issue remains, it'll be interesting to see how this story wraps up. As long as this creative team goes out with as much vigor as it started, Kings Watch will be an incredibly successful series that people should check out either now or when it's collected. Weekly Comic Book Review - Hugo Robberts Lariviere

    Feb 22, 2014

Presenting a good mix between older sensibilities and newer one for the most part, Jeff Parker presents a good action tale with clear stakes and some fun moments that makes this issue definitely enjoyable. With very competent art, yet a bit of a weak colorization, it makes this a good continuation of the storyline, making the wait for the conclusion an awaited affair. Read Full Review
