'Invincible Red Sonja' #3 is another rip-roaring episode that finds our favorite Hyrkanian fighting, drinking and finding more trouble. You know, the usual. It's quintessential Red Sonja and this series is wall-to-wall entertainment. It keeps getting better with each issue.  Read Full Review

The general pacing of the book seems a little uneven and generally the characters don't rise much above almost cartoonish caricature, but there's a bit more kick to this issue and the introduction of a few layers of mystery certainly offer a bit more intrigue to push things forward. THE INVINCIBLE RED SONJA #3 turns the corner for the series into an interesting mystery with massive brawls, weird creatures, and malicious magic wielders-. However, the muddy pacing and muddier art hold the issue back from being an enjoyable issue to read. Read Full Review

In terms of the larger story, we do not see the face of the masked figure who stole the crown (suggesting it to be a character already introduced in the story), but we do see it traded to Bahira Yakootah in a deadly bargain as someone is obviously playing a larger game in hopes of changing the power structure of the region. Tremendous art, significant plot advancement and a script that’s witty but also really captures the language of Roy Thomas’ classic barbarian comics … this is the best issue of the series yet.
