The production of the comics that Dynamite publishes has never been in doubt. This series is another bold step for a company that many see as a tie-in specialist. With the current JSA's whereabouts currently unknown and DC seemingly happy to drop odd hints here and there in favour of a trio of Justice League books, one of which is a reboot of a failed series, it is good to see that there are still companies that cater for old school superhero team fans. The heroes have some trying times ahead and the reader will really feel the struggle involved. The feel of the book is a lot like a modern Watchmen series with a bit more flare. The disconnect with modern culture will have to be put aside in order to save it. Overall this is a great comic book, I'm really impressed with it and I'm looking forward to the series. Bounding Into Comics - Nathan Braudrick

    Aug 01, 2018

Project Superpowers #1 is the kind of issue that makes me regret not having been familiar with this property before now. It's nice being introduced to a large cast of characters and feel as if they already have a rich history backing them up and yet, not feeling like you're missing out on anything. Credit for that goes to the creative team behind this book and they have done a great job of putting it together. I do wish we could have gotten to know some of the characters better and there were, at some points, just too many introductions too close together. However, the fact that I was left wanting more from them means the writers and artists have done their job well. Very well, in fact. Read Full Review

Project Superpowers #1 is an excellent point for any reader to jump in whether new or old. The modern world comes with new rules, and 2018 was the best year to choose when things couldn't be more different. The people are different, the threats, and the risks to the heroes who find out that it's not as simple anymore as punching the villain and going home. Read Full Review

All in all, this was probably one of the best first issues I’ve read recently when it comes to reintroducing a world to new readers. Williams does a magnificent job of telling us who these characters are and how they fit into this new “World without wonder.” Read Full Review

"Project Superpowers" #1 is a bombastic first issue held back by two pages, and a couple other art gaffs, that don't quite live up to the rest of the comic. Read Full Review

Project: Superpowers #1 is an enjoyable introduction to the world of these characters for the new reader. For those whove followed this story in the past, its likely an enjoyable return of this super team. The artwork is excellent, and the story is fairly interesting. This one is worth a recommendation.
