Wonder Woman #780 is a wonderful issue with a wonderful change of pace. It's full of joy and hope. We know there are challenges for Diana coming, because"comics", but for today, enjoy it. The changing of paths for a major hero can be really, really tricky to frame...especially for someone who has been around for 80 years like. Diana has been a nurse, a government agent, a private detective, a defense attorney for a dog, a slave, a space pirate, an employee at a taco restaurant, and so much more over 80 years. Whats one more change? How the hell is she supposed to define herself in the face of all that history? After sacrificing herself to save everything (because thats what heroes do), its the end of the months long adventure in various Multiversal afterlives for Wonder Woman, and the team lets Diana reconnect with some very important pieces of her life. Final Thoughts:Wonder Woman #780 by Michael W. Conrad & Becky Cloonans Wonder is the perfect reset issue for Diana. We all know that there will be more adventures and plotlines that will greet Diana but for now, she can rest. Now is the perfect time to jump into Wonder Woman. We are at the ending of one storyline and the beginning of the next has not started yet. Wonder Woman is back where she should be, and I am so happy!   This issue looks fantastic, with some real emotions coming off the pages.  The pacing did feel a bit off, and some scenes felt a bit stretched to get a larger page count, but I liked this as a reset and am looking forward to seeing how things go from here. The second-half of the issue looks at the impact of Diana's return on the world, offering glimpses to reaction of several characters and groups after Wonder Woman makes her first public save since her return. The issue ends with a trip to Themyscira and another welcome home for the character while Diana struggles to take a breathe before returning to the world. There's also some foreshadowing concerning changes to Diana during her time away, although it's not yet clear what may be lurking beneath the surface. Read Full Review

If you're looking for big plot or major story, it's not here. But there's a pure love of the character and a hopefulness that just feels so good and, well, like Wonder Woman. It's a fun issue and an inspiring read. Read Full Review

I really enjoyed it. Great artwork, character moments (Batman actually smiles) and I am excited for the upcoming story arc that will have Artemis, Donna Troy, Cassie Landmarks, Diana Prince, Hippolyta, Nubia, and Yara Flor meet each other.

A fanservice issue but I was fan who was pleased with service. Can't even recall if there's ever been a main issue with Diana, Artemis, Cassie, Donna, Steve, Etta, and Hippolyta.

Great issue! Moore & Pugh do gorgeous work (And what a cover!!) and Cloonan & Conrad give real heart and drama to what is essentially a transitional issue. Easily the best issue of Wonder Woman in years, and a perfect jumping-on point if you weren't already reading.

A great return for Diana. This feels a little as if the writers are coming into themselves. While I enjoyed the first arc plenty, there were still some stilted moments that are completely absent from this Issue. Especially Diana speaking to Hippolyta and Nubia was excellent. I can't wait to see where this is going.

This is a good issue. I just hope this series gets back on tracked with a refreshed status quo.

Diana's back, and that's great, but the writers still aren't capable of writing a really good issue, this was decent at best.
