Wonder Woman #768

The four-page combat begins the second half of an issue that manages to focus quite closely on Emma Lord without diverting too much focus from Wonder Woman herself. Its a strikingly deft balance between hero and villain in an issue that continues to distinguish Tamaki as one of the best writers to work with the character thus far. I'm not sure that this run really told much of a Wonder Woman story"it's been so caught up in Lord family drama"but it did send her on a twisty and compelling adventure featuring one of the DCU's best villains. Read Full Review

All told Wonder Woman #768does a great job setting up the fight to come. With Diana being aware of her opponents likely state of mind, it will be interesting to see how Diana approaches the coming confrontation. Read Full Review

Wonder Woman #768 is another chapter in a good run for Wonder Woman. Unfortunately the inclusion of Deathstroke doesn't do much for this issue other than show how light it is on plot, even though what is there is interesting. Read Full Review

As Mariko Tamaki's Wonder Woman run has gone, Wonder Woman #768 isn't quite as satisfying as some of the earlier issues in her run, but what it lacks in narrative satisfaction it makes up for in the way it sets up the battle to come not to mention the outstanding art from Rafa Sandoval. This issue adds things out of nowhere and throws out things that we wasted time on for months.  The art was good, but everything, including Deathstroke showing up, was a nothing story to set up a 180 for the next issue's finale.  I can't wait since it will be the last issue of this nonsense I will have to read and review!
