Moore abandons most of his long musings and weavings to focus on the plot advances and this turns into quite the exciting and more traditional superhero story. There are some really great panels in this one too. This is also the first time I'm realizing Veidt's got his own fortress of solitude in this universe. Also Rorschach actually showing fear here, actually saving the world instead of beating up low level criminals not as easy or fun as it sounds.

Very good issue. This one is ally,it and not really as serious as the others. It was just a good superhero book.

Hm....Well, like the previous issue, I'll name my three main criticisms of this issue, but its really only 2 cuz my second one is just a little tiny one. 1: Miscolorings. Holy moly, what is with the amount of miscolorings happening? Like I thought JoJo's and DB had some bad miscolorings, but nah Watchmen takes it to a whole different level, this isn't even a like "Oh this may be some weird shading stuff" no, its just skin eyebrows and genuinely with how good this series is, even small stuff like this breaks my immersion heavily, which sucks. 2: Pirate comic, listen, it was pretty good this time so therefore this isn't as big as a critique as 1 was and what 3 will be, but still, it just pulls me out of the moment and makes the story more slo ggy to get through, I understand why its here, but still...Just a slog to get through, even when its good, which is saying something. Now for 3: This one is spoilers, but a certain character...Something happened to him, and lets just say I ain't the biggest fan of it, like yeah, that happened, and I thought the other character's reactions would be greater or something would happen, but nah, they're just approaching the end of the series instead of taking this detour and getting some extra character development. Makes this writing feel cheap and sloppy. Aside from that, the plot, the characters, the art? Awesome af, so yea, this issue gets a good score from me, just wish some of these were changed ngl, these are flaws that can be changed unlike the stuff mentioned in issue 9. more
