Weekly Comic Book Review - Elijah Thomas
Mar 01, 2017This issue starts off with Mr. Slate being the pretentious jerk he's accustomed to being. Firing Fred and the rest of the crew, for a little extra profit. You see Fred In the wake of his unemployment, feeling worthless sitting at home unable to go to work. He prides himself on being a hard worker, and without that, he feels depressed. In the hopes of cheering up her distraught husband, Wilma buys him a new bowling ball, and offers him a night out to take his mind off of recent events. The night doesn't provide Fred with much relieve, but luckily the next morning, Mr. Slate gives Fred and the crew all their jobs back. Read Full Review

This issue is less funny than the last issues, but it's still very enjoyable. This one is a bit different in the sense that all the story lines treat to the same topic and there are no "side-themes", which brings coherence but makes some of the series's characteristic spontaneity disappear.

"Coat Rack don't play that," greatest line of the week, drop the mic. I've been waiting for an issue that focuses more on the appliances, and here it is. It's a emotional one. It also ties in nicely with the the human characters realizing their inherent need to be needed.
