Oct 25, 2017This issue was really strong and really enjoyable. It also features the obscure villain Onomatopoeia, which is really cool to see him pop up, and he has a great plan. As long as Percy continues to focus more on the intimate moments between characters, I think his Teen Titans series could be really great. Read Full Review

Oct 25, 2017The Return of Kid Flash left me very excited about the future of Teen Titans. Percy and Pham seem to have finally unlocked the secrets to making this title work. Its going to be a surprisingly long wait for the next chapter. Read Full Review

Oct 25, 2017TEEN TITANS #13 is a fun, exciting addition to Benjamin Percy's series. While I think that the plot focuses way too much on Damian Wayne, the exquisite art by Khoi Pham and Jim Charalampidis does enough to make up for it. Read Full Review

Oct 27, 2017As someone new to the title, there were some allusions and callbacks to former issues. Still, I caught on quickly asTeen Titans #13 was a well-woven story with many options moving forward. Damian seems to have met his match in Emiko, Wally's imminent return, Beast Boy's shenanigans, and a chilling villain in Onomatopoeia, in particular, made this issue a good read. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Bill Heuer
Oct 27, 2017The ending I found very interesting because we have two major cliffhangers with very different stakes in each. On the one hand, we have a legitimate tidal wave about to destroy Star City, but in Central City we have Kid Flash throwing down an ultimatum for Damian to apologize for firing him from the team. Percy seems to understand that a dramatic moment does not necessarily have to be a big action piece but can be a small emotional one as in the case of Kid Flash's ultimatum. Either way, I know I am very much looking forward to seeing how it turns out although I do have a feeling Damian will have to apologize fast in order to get Kid Flash's help to stop the tidal wave. Oct 31, 2017This issue set up events for the next chapter, but it never read as dull or plodding. Throwing in classic Green Arrow villain Onomatopoeia was a nice touch and the interaction between Damian and Emiko worked well, too. Top it all off with strong artwork from Pham, Scott, and Charalampidis and you have another good issue in what has been shaping up to be one of the better runs of Teen Titans. Read Full Review

Oct 25, 2017A fun adventure, nicely illustrated,Teen Titans #13 continues this series' trend of quality. The parallel adventures are entertaining in their own right, and Percy lays some groundwork that will pay off when they inevitably converge. If you aren't reading this book, now is as good a time as any to jump on. Read Full Review

Oct 26, 2017There are other moments in this issue where Khoi Pham, Trevor Scott, JimCharalampidis and Corey Breen seem to work as one. The Robin/Red Arrow sequence begins with brilliant sapphire skies, which Charalampidis then shifts to a deeper cerulean as clouds begin to build, and then later to the aegean veil of a rainstorm. This subtle shift in hue mirrors Percy's shift in narrative, as Damian and Emiko reach a dire climax that will likely require a little backup in the next issue. All this while Pham, Scott and Breen keep us engaged with a wild sequence that has Red Arrow driving a moving truck off a ferry and into the waters beyond it. It's comforting to know that, even though the roster is ever embroiled in turmoil,Teen Titans still remembers to have a little bit of fun. Read Full Review

Razorfine - Alan Rapp
Oct 29, 2017The other arc is a bit more interesting as Damian goes in search of someone more like himself to bolster the Titans line-up. Emiko Queen has the skills and a similar enough backstory that, in Damian's eyes, she would make a great addition. One problem: after a single conversation she turns the Boy Wonder down, flat. However, we'll see if teaming up to fight Onomatopoeia may lead to a change in heart. Worth a look. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Chris
Oct 25, 2017The Teen Titans still have no heart. Any significance the issue has feels predicated on inflating the importance of nu-Wally's return, and that feels completely hollow and artificial. The Damian and Emiko scenes do all of the heavy-lifting here. Read Full Review
