Suicide Squad: Blaze is amazingly dark fun. Si Spurrier, Aaron Campbell and Jordie Bellaire have found a way to turn one note characters into fun additions to a world and have created one of the more terrifyingly animalistic villains weve seen in a long time. SUICIDE SQUAD: BLAZE #2 is raw, emotionally charged, gritty, and real. Deeper relationships are formed, unexpected characters are destroyed, and a creature of unexplainable carnage is unstoppably aroused yup aroused. There's subtle humor that doesn't always hit the mark alongside some confusing art at times. However, the story is complex, wickedly entertaining, and loads of fun. I'm still super pumped to see where this goes and think SUICIDE SQUAD: BLAZE #2 is a fantastic story for any comic fan, not just the SUICIDE SQUAD peeps. Read Full Review

Oh mY God....Pure Blaze ....Smion Spurrier is one of the best in comic industry...this book is the perfect example of it.well executed story...Arts sometimes confusing...But overall Brilliant second issue....I think he should give an opportunity to write next ongoing suicide squad series

The art is simply on another level, and I cant wait for the final issue in July. Much rather have delays and focus on quality.

I think this book has a fantastic, unhinged energy to it that lends itself perfectly to both Black Label and the Suicide Squad. Spurrier manages to create some absolutely hilarious sequences, usually centered around Waller, as he writes a pitch perfect version of the character. From her 'rousing' war speeches to her demeaning tone in the debrief with an overly excited scientist, she had me laughing. Campbell also manages to create some brutal scenes as well, particularly around Superman, adding to the "no one is safe" feeling that the best Squad books always have. I truly have no idea how this is going to wrap up, and that alone has me excited.
