Suicide Squad #15

All stories must end, but the familiarity in form, as well as the nuance in how the characters have been handled, has set this run of Suicide Squad above a lot of the rest. It takes a talented creative team, that can depict all kinds of conflict on the page, and write all levels of characterization, to turn a fairly light title into one that delivers drama and depth to the Suicide Squad. It's a chaotic, fast-paced final issue that potentially hints at a new status quo and a new boss for the Suicide Squad, but who knows if it'll ever be followed up on. This team had a few fun characters, but they never gelled into a teameven a disposable one. Read Full Review

While the art continues to work for me in this conclusion to our Suicide Squad book, the storyline, characterization, and overall way we leave this series leaves a lot to be desired in my mind because it almost feels like after the War For Earth-3 there was no real direction for this book and instead of a story that felt like it made sense to this world, we got two issues of goofy jokes that really went nowhere. This was actually really enjoyable but I just feel the very end was a bit awkwardly executed Didn’t help that this had to be limited to 22 pages

This issue, and the one before it, both deliver solid action and an improvement in the comedic writing, it still rounds out a very uneven Suicide Squad run for me. An uptick near the end doesn't exactly help the average for the series. I'm not sure I'll be revisiting this volume, but the art at least has been fun (though why it takes this many artists to finish this one book is a little beyond me).

This was a solid ending, but I can't help but feel this book was entirely shafted by the insistence of War For Earth-3 as an event.

This was a decent series that just really fell of the rails come War for Earth 3. Shame these last two issues were just nonsense.
