This was an enjoyable and emotional issue, that did a great job of paying off a storyline that paid off the story arc of Bizarros rise and fall in a touching way that didnt feel forced or false. Red Hood and the Outlaws #22 was a gem from the week I wasnt expecting. I like to check back in this title from time to time due to my love of both Red Hood and Bizarro. This issue didnt disappoint with its focus on the interiority, problems, and interactions of the team. Plus, Soy, Borges, and Gandini provide excellent artwork. This one earns a recommendation. Art is awesome but Borge's style overshadowed Soy's and his normally comes out super amazing. Cover is awesome as well, but the Penguin storyline is overplayed since he's only been in miniscule parts of the issues lately. Before, the whole Life of Bizarro storyline was overplayed because it seemed like the same issue over and over, but now we have more insight and they need to fight to resolve it. Read Full Review

Red Hood isone of those titles I look forward to. I tend to wade in the shallow end of theDC Universe, so its refreshing to read characters and properties that donthave decades of baggage and history to constantly reconcile. Read Full Review

Ever since Lobdell began his overarching arc dealing with Bizarro, Red Hood and the Outlaws has been far stronger than it has in any previous incarnation. Still, there's a few lingering problems that hold it back, particularly most things to do with Artemis. Read Full Review

I really loved this issue. Artist Dexter Soy really gave a lot of eye-catching panels right out the gate, depicting Red Hood in a number of really cool areal positions hand tailored for any big budget Hollywood action film. Read Full Review

It's no surprising Lex Luthor fails to help, leaving Bizarro slowly returning to the creature he once was. I am curious to see how long writer Scott Lobdell plans to milk this degeneration as the scenes of Bizarro aware of his situation, and later discussing it with Jason, are the best of the comic. Red Hood and The Outlaws #22 is a very good issue that has lots of emotion, future set-up, and great dialogue, but not enough exciting moments outside of the first two pages. The opening sucks you in while the rest kind of leaves the reader desiring more. However, it is very nice to see The Penguin and Lex Luthor in the same issue that doesnt involve Superman or Batman. This was a sad and beautifully written issue. I really wish this was a bi-weekly series because I want to know what is happening with Bizarro. One of the best things about this series is it focuses on character development as well as action. Can't wait for issue 23

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten. Nothing happened. I can’t really even write a summary because.... nothing happened. Honestly, we find out that Artemis worked for Luthor a long time ago, Ma Gun has an envelope that her granddaughter has... yet they still haven’t opened it, and Bizzaro is eating hotdogs while losing more of his smarts. That’s it. This idea of Bizarro losing his intelligence feels like it’s been drug on now for months. MONTHS! We get it already. He’s going to revert. I’m also willing to guess the envelope contains a document showing Bizarro Killing Ma Gun. Who wants to bet? This idea for a story isn’t bad but I feel like we’ve been stuck in neutral for way too long. The idea of this book was great when it started. A trinity unlike the original yet similar and raw. We are still waiting for them to show us what they are capable of. This is just a Bizarro book. That’s it! First we find Bizarro. Then, we decide what to do with Bizarro. Then, Bizarro is going to die. Then, Bizarro becomes Super Smart. And now Bizarro is losing his smartness. The title of this book is RED HOOD and the Outlaws. The stuff dealing with Bizarro is interesting but it doesn’t need to take us... what feels like a year... to get through this. It’s become unnecessary and stale. I hate to say this because I’ve recently given the book good scores, but if we don’t pick this bad boy up soon, I’m out! And I’m getting the feeling that even the writer just doesn’t care about the characters and the book anymore or he wouldn’t give us an issue that didn’t progress the story any further in about 3 months. This book truly has promise and has so many great opportunities especially with these characters. If anyone at DC is reading this, can we just move this along already? more
