Power Girl #10

Its taken a while for this particular incarnation of Power Girl to gain enough traction to feel distinct. Shes been through so many different incarnations over the course of the past four decades. She has managed to maintain a certain amount of continuity even as shes had her past, present and future knocked about by a parade of different writers. Nice to see Williams finding a new connection for an old character who could have easily ended up as another Superman knock-off in another short-lived series. This one has it all. It's comical and heartfelt in the right places with plenty of action and set-up for future stories. I feel like this Power Girl series as a whole is absolutely great for young or new readers and is a rather refreshing book for older ones. It's possibly one of the more underrated books on the shelves these days and I encourage more people should check it out. Read Full Review

Overall, Power Girl #10 is a fun conclusion to the book's first event tie-in with some of Williams' most engaging action and Pansica's best work. Despite the overexposure with Symbio, we are curious to see where Williams and Pansica take the book next. Read Full Review

Like last issue, Power Girl #10 has some details that distract and detract from the experience, but overall it's one of the better issues of this series. The symbioship sub-plot moves forward, Power Girl gets a little agency, despite Leah Williams characterization continuing to demean the character. Read Full Review

The book flies by as a sort of quick read. I glossed over much of the action. I think a lot of things happen because the plot needs them to, not because it makes internal sense. I do like the art quite a bit. And so it ends.  Read Full Review

Art was better this issue. Symbio subplot was the best part. Rest was dumb. Also Leah doesnt get PG and Harvey. Yeah they have worked together before but PG would never call her a 'bestie' that was just gross. Williams worst impulses with Crush and PG come out this issue which is a shame as when it sticks to just PG beating up people it isnt the worst. Just give me more of the Symbio was that is the only thing Williams seems to know how to write half-decently.
