I loved this issue, reading it felt very nostalgic but at the same time fresh and exciting. Could this end up being the Nightwing version of The Dark Knight Returns? Its certainly starting to feel like it. Read Full Review

Higgins has put foot on the gas -- better yet, he's floored it. Judging by the absolutely badass wrap up to this issue I can only imagine things will get crazier from here. I can't wait. Read Full Review

DC Comics is really killing it with these elseworlds miniseries, shame they didn't bring back the label. Nightwing: The New Order should be on every comic book fans pull list. The creative team have really outdone themselves with this series. Read Full Review

Nightwing: The New Order is a great else worlds story. We spent the first two issues getting to know this futuristic world and this issue makes Nightwing public enemy #1. The stakes have been raised, as has the emotional beats, and I can't wait until the next issue already. Read Full Review

I love a good elseworlds type story and seeing familiar characters in situations we wouldn't get to in continuity and this is among the best I've read. Read Full Review

This series is the comic book art form at its finest and a perfect use for Dick Grayson. He's the only one who could make it work. Read Full Review

This has been a great series so far that stands on its own very nicely. If you haven't read this series yet, it's not to late to catch up. And believe me, it's worth it. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Jay Yaws

Three issues in and Higgins has finally hit his stride. By having Dick go on the run and bringing in more DC characters, Nightwing: The New Order has improved dramatically. While there are still a few aspects of the story I haven't fully bought into, I'm much more intrigued now than I have been up to this point. The change in direction has done nothing but good things for the narrative, and a future world that felt cold and distant feels at least somewhat familiar and more alive. As a reader I'm excited to see where this goes. Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Jim Werner

This issue was a down moment in an otherwise great series.  Kyle Higgins may not want to overplay his hand halfway through the series, but that leads to a padded out issue.  I am still fully onboard, just not this issue. Read Full Review

There's no reason to bail on this series if you enjoyed the first two issues, but lower your standards for this third issue. It's still important as it adds to the universe and moves the story along, but it's hard to find it as spectacular as the first two. It's an average issue, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If you're reading the series, then keep at it. Read Full Review

In conclusion, this issue was alright, and had some really cool cameos and appearances at the end of the book. However it feels like it is lacking the original direction and push it had in the first 2 issues. Read Full Review

    Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson

That said, if you like Injustice, this is a visually solid representation of that sort of story, featuring some lovely sequences (especially in the Bat-cave) and a dystopian crapsack future that seems to have more thought put into it that some. Nightwing: The New Order #3 is narratively confusing and darker than I care for, but strong art helps greatly. Read Full Review

Comic Book Bin - Herv St-Louis

Trevor McCarthy continues to deliver solid pages although I wish some of his characters would look much more aged than they do in this series. Dick Grayson, obviously looks older but this is not something that can be seen with some of the other super heroes such as John Stewart. I do like his rendition of Tim Drake as a balding geek.
