Overall I thought Justice League of America #19 was a good read. The story is full of action, Prometheus shows just how much of a genius he is, and Black Canary and Vixen steal the issue showing how great leaders they both are. Orlando leaves this issue on a cliffhanger as it seems the everything that occurs in this issue is nothing but a distraction from whatever Prometheus is planning next. Hopefully in the next issue we see Batman's return"I'm looking forward to a showdown between Prometheus and the Dark Knight. Read Full Review

I'll be the first to admit that JLA isn't without its problems, but I do feel there has been some progress. We're still getting some heavy-handed dialogue, and poor plot progression in some areas, but as far as the conflict is concerned, I think this is the most entertaining threat yet. This arc has balanced itself securely in the mediocre after a promising start. Theres nothing substantial here that we havent seen over and over before, and the villain is playing out like Jesse Eisenbergs much-maligned depiction of Lex Luthor from the divisive Batman v Superman film. It seems when writer Steve Orlando is playing things straight, the book suffers. Id like to see him get back to the more fantastical approach he took during the previous arc in the Microverse. Surgical Strike wraps its second issue, but there's little evidence here that the third or fourth chapter can turn things around. JLA is a title badly in need of a spark and that doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon. Read Full Review

It's ironic that a book as clumsy and heavy-handed as Justice League of America would title one of its story arcs "Precision Strike." What's more, I think Orlando himself might be realizing that and panicking. Read Full Review

The team is definitely struggling at this point, now that Batman has ditched them. The Prometheus arc is perfectly suited to exploit this, catching the team at their weakest and least cohesive. Read Full Review
