Jul 29, 2026A perfect one-two punch of mystery and character exploration, Justice League: Knight Vision Special #1 expertly sets the stage for DC’s Next Level. Mark Waid and Joshua Williamson wisely ground this issue’s theme, villain, and conflict within the characters’ ideologies. The clash of creeds between Batman and Luthor is pitch-perfect, providing pure enjoyment within every panel. However, as strong as Waid and Williamson’s script work, Miguel Mendonça’s artwork and Romulo Fajardo Jr.’s colors are a huge contender for this book’s main event. The artwork is cinematic and dynamic with expertly crafted action sequences and lighting. Additionally, Mendonça’s and Romulo Fajardo Jr.’s artwork does an excellent job embracing the gritty nature of the narrative’s horror and sci-fi aspects. Read Full Review

Jul 29, 2026A simple attempt to take out some thugs spirals out of control when a dangerous rogue re-appears. Waid and Williamson play off the egotistical natures of the leads with huge payoffs. Mendonça & Fajardo Jr. keep a tense aura around each panel to deliver on an incredible confrontation. How long the united front of Bats and Luthor can remain is anyone’s guess. Read Full Review
