For me, this story was amazing, not only with all the different artists that contributed to the book as the story progressed, but the writing by Sam Humphries is completely on point. It feels like an amazing adventure to go on with Harleen. Everything works together in such beautiful harmony and I am so excited to continue with this series going forward. This issue celebrates Harley Quinn's 50th issue in an appropriate manner. It plays around with breaking the fourth wall but also shows the impact Quinn has had on people since she came into existence. Since I’m a sucker for these types of “Let’s just have as much fun as possible within this comic”, I can’t recommend this issue enough, even if you aren’t a Harley Quinn fan. Oh, you might want to pick this issue up also if you are a Captain Triumph fan (look him up), since he makes a fun appearance. Read Full Review

Anniversary issues can feel excessive and unnecessary. It can be fun when a creative team takes a look back while carefully advancing the story in a new direction. Humphries takes a different route here: just invite a bunch of people over to have fun with the character. Its a huge party. Like any good party, it gets pleasantly out of hand. (Even the Anti-Monitor shows-up.) Not everything works, and it may not be perfect, but its the perfect approach thats perfectly suited to Harley. Read Full Review

It takes alot of art to get this crazy. Fortunately, the extra-sized book also features aroster of artists to illustrate each vignette, many of which are two-pagespreads. My only complaint is that between the ongoing Harley Quinn series, and the occasional special (last weeks Harley Quinn and Gossamer comes tomind), it feels like Ive been riding my Haley every week. I have been catching up on this run of Harley Quinn, and I have to say issue #50 is just Harley Quinn fun. Sure there is less of her usual cast of characters, or even less hammer smashing nonsense, but it's the kind of hijinx only Harley Quinn could get into. I love this comics jam format for this issue, and most of the art and story elements are enjoyable. If your mother was retconned from existence, you might just search the known multiverse for the culprit to seek revenge on as well. I don't think everything is perfect, but all the smaller parts making the whole are good to great. What other issue has the Justice League Multiverse, Jonni DC, the Continuity Cops HQ, and a Batman/Superman dinosaur riff?

All the references are perfect for fans of the DC Universe as a whole, if you came here for Harley though you may be disappointed.

Once I started reading this mess of a comic, I really wanted to be Harley's mom for a moment, so I can just disappear. It's just a bad comic, albeit it has some small, redeeming qualities underneath all this inconsistent art, unfunny humor and idiotic plot. Yeah, that's something new for the series, isn't it? Few panels look genuinely good, few scenes were nicely written, minus dialogues (which is a trademark of sorts in the run), and I sure enjoy, for once, Harley having real connection with someone else, which gives her so much needed humanity she lacked for a decade now. It's still far from perfect, and the teenage Harley scene, while relatively cute, begs the question what's the point of Harleen becoming Harley if Harleen was Harley bef ore Harleen has become Harley? Anyways, it's an inconsistent skipper. If you look for a good story where the protagonist ends up in a comic, watch A-Ha's Take On Me music video. It's fun. This fan-fiction is not. more
