Harley Quinn #24

Some of the situations presented in this issue will definitely have a few of us doubled over in laughter (I know I was) due to just how silly they are. Harley herself isnt played for laughs, the whole world she inhabits is, and that is exactly why it works and why everyone should be reading this. New readers might want to go back an issue or two or wait for the next one but for the rest of us, this is one of the best books on the shelves today. Read Full Review

Ok so in this issue we learn that The Penguin has something going on in our main arch. We also saw Red Tool talking to Poison Ivy in the last issue so things are getting interesting. Maybe well see a bunch of Gotham villains duking it out? Maybe teaming up? Im not sure but Im excited either way. Lacking action and a little slow, but still a strong and fun read. Things move along predictably and ploddingly, as we're given more about what's to come in this series than anything happening in the moment. The main story now reflects the back-up in that it's a look at something that might become interesting later. My advice is to wait for the trade collection. Read Full Review

A dense bridge between arcs that unfortunately feels largely skippable–a trait I so rarely ascribe to this book, I almost don't know how to score it. But the fact is that while this book has some to-be-expected bright action moments and the Dini/Palmiotti added feature continues to be excellent on all levels, the main book suffers from too much talk–some of which just feels out of character and a little too on-the-nose borderline preachy to me. It also could just be timing. Maybe we'll find out there's a reason Harley and her mother need to have this conversation now, but for the moment I just don't see it. Read Full Review

This ish was fun. This ish was wordy. This ish was unfortunate... for the bad boys to be dumped outside the shower stall while naked Power Girl is in it! ;) On the down side: The hilarious and beautiful cover is just wasteful and annoying for being unrelated. The backup is quickly becoming tiresome. The inclusion of PG, who should be on EARTH 2 AFAIK, just screams Elseworlds series which once OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED will be a deal breaker and probably dropped as things stand now.
