The Riverdale Vixens didn't really need a makeover, but they're getting one anyway, courtesy of a pair of super-villains masquerading as It girls. Well, Harley-as-Betty is up to no good for sure, but who knew Ivy would turn Veronica into a bookworm? And how are their counterparts faring in Gotham City? You may not want to know...

Jan 02, 2018The whole Freaky Friday body swap is still fresh as it is hard to imagine Betty and Veronica in Batman villainess bodies. Could they have even exploited this humour even more? Probably. But the tone is consistent of an Archie comic with echoes of Harley Quinn. In fact sadly this seems more tightly plotted and well told as a story than a lot of regular series titles. Read Full Review

Jan 04, 2018This story would have probably been better suited for the classic Archie style, but it's been progressively more fun with each issue in the series. Read Full Review

Jan 04, 2018This book is chaotic, almost frantic at points, but it's fun, and that's more than can be said about the main Harley book at times. Read Full Review

Jan 03, 2018In the end, there isn't anything particularly deep or nuanced, but it is bright and fun. If you can ignore the problems and simply enjoy the ride, it is isn't all that bad. In short, this isn't as terrible as it could be. Just maybe Harley can hot wire it and turn it into something better before the series comes to an end. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Gerry Green
Jan 04, 2018This is a comic with a lot of promise that inexplicably stumbles over issues of characterization, plot, and general storytelling. It is a shame, this could be a great book. Overall, I am being generous with my rating just because of how much I like both pairs of characters. Read Full Review

Jan 08, 2018The best Archie crossovers have tended to be one-shots or incredibly limited series. Harley & Ivy Meet Betty and Veronica is evidence towards the idea that Riverdale visits work best in that format. It's difficult to see how this will stretch out for another two issues, but it's all in good fun after all. It might just be the antidote needed to the doom and gloom of the event crossover season that's right around the corner. Read Full Review

Jan 04, 2018Let's be honest, this book is nothing but silly shenanigans, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Silly shenanigans can be fun if presented well, and I think Harley & Ivy Meet Betty and Veronica succeeded in doing this early in its run. Unfortunately, now, those attempts are falling flat, and thus, so is the book itself. I want to like this book, but I can't imagine it turning things around to the degree that it needs to with two issues remaining. I won't go so far to say that the book is terrible, but it's definitely not great " and it pains me to say this considering Paul Dini has writing credits! Read Full Review
