This quick series ended perfectly and showed me a fantastic dynamic duo, but I really hope this future gets another chance to be seen again as the creative team did a good job of showing a darker world saved by Dick Grayson. Read Full Review

This was one of the better Future State titles and as Gotham Future State continues playing out under the Infinite Frontier banner hopefully Constant and Scott will be involved to help chart Nightwings path. Read Full Review

Writer Andrew Constant writes a great script here. It is full of verve and intelligence and works quite well. Artist Nicola Scott does a great job here on the art as well. The images are cool and the action is clear. I would love to see more from this creative team in the future. Read Full Review

Andrew Constant ties up his Future State Nightwing story in a fine fashion. There's something for everyone in this issue. Great action on display with great art, and Constant showing us prior to Tom Taylor's arrival that Nightwing is in fact an “A” list hero!! Come on DC, let's get Andrew Constant on an ongoing book! Not sure which cameo surprised everyone most, but I was blown away by Talia al Ghul showing up. It'd make sense to see some members of The Resistance pop up in Red Hood's upcoming Future State series, but this team deserves it's own book " even if it's a miniseries. Read Full Review

Future State: Nightwing #2 hit it out of the park as Andrew Constant and Nicola Scott make a strong case for this being the best Future State series. From beginning to end you are engaged in the events that unfold as Nightwing sets out to take down the Magistrate. The way the entire Batman Family got involved just added to the hype around this series concluded. This is definitely a series that fans should not miss out on reading. Read Full Review

This series doesn't break any new ground, but it really doesn't need to. Of all the Gotham stories of Future State, this is the most "meat and potatoes""an old-school vigilante team-up against the forces of the Magistrate. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - William J. Jackson

All in all, this was a fine ending for the short Future State of Dick Grayson. It finishes well and provides a nice segue into the Future State: Gotham series, so that may be worth checking out. However, the big question remains whether this future will come to pass or be retconned as yet another Elseworlds. Time will tell. Read Full Review

I enjoyed reading this issue but I wish there was more. I really would like to explore this timeline a little more and I feel there are many more stories to tell. This was just a teaser for Future State and I would like to see more. Not perfect but very satisfying. Read Full Review

Future State: Nightwing #2 closes with Nightwing and the new Batman taking down the new head of the Magistrate as they live to fight another day. But what it's really about, is the budding bromance between Dick Grayson and Tim Fox. I think we have two new best friends on our hands. Read Full Review

You've probably already guessed this, but I really enjoyed Future State: Nightwing #2. It's been an exciting ride, we've seen new and very cool versions of our favorite characters, and I can't wait to see how we get back to the present, I'm also excited to find out how what's happening in the now could (will?) lead to this crazy future. Future State: Nightwing #2 plays with interesting ideas in all the wrong ways. The drama is inert due to some key plot points being kept a secret until the end. Additionally, Nicola Scott struggles to both create interesting compositions and display Nightwing's unique skill set. Constant's script is overwritten, filled to the brim with ideas and statements that don't congeal into a precise point. Despite this issue not fully working for me, I'm eager to see Constant's work yet to come. Read Full Review
