The Flash #754 is yet another great issue from Joshua Williamson. His run on The Flash has been fantastic since the beginning. But he's been especially on point since Year One. I will miss his interpretation of the Flash, but look forward to his future projects. Read Full Review

Ive got no idea where Williamson is going to take this story and am amazed at the various ways it could play out especially with the likelihood that Flash will have to deal with Thawne once he manages to take out Paradox. Read Full Review

This is a very intimate comic in some ways, focusing entirely on these two rivals traveling through time without the usual supporting cast. It works really well, but I'm looking forward to a story that brings in all the elements of this book for the final act. Read Full Review

This “Flash Age” arc has been doing everything right. The villain is great, the story has progressed in an unexpected but brilliant way, and the use of Flash history has added substance to this chapter in Barry’s life. If Flash and Reverse-Flash having to team up doesn’t already make you interested in this story, then I don’t know what else to say. The art is also spectacular in this issue and adds weigh to some of the big moments. Paradox is a monster of a foe for the Flash and seeing how Barry (and Eobard) deals with him will be something. This is a gorgeous looking book with some interesting elements and nice throwbacks for longtime readers. It's certainly a setup issue, but if you ride the high of the visuals you'll make it through quickly and painlessly. Read Full Review

The latest issue that continues Barry's war against Paradox has the added benefit of giving us the most unlikely of team ups as the Flash partners up with Eobard Thawne, The Reverse Flash. Williamson and Sandoval weave a story that will hopefully be seen as one of the best Flash stories of the modern Rebirth-Era of DC Comics. Read Full Review

Flash #754 may have a couple of blindingly obvious plot holes that exist due to an overuse of gimmickry, but that doesn't stop it from being a flat-out FUN comic. Sometimes, pure escapism is all you need. Read Full Review

Rafa Sandoval has some beautiful art in this issue. There are some awesome hero panels, a great splash page with Thawne and Barry and Paradox's destructive path through Flash's life offers some great visual moments and nods to the characters legacy. Read Full Review

Like I said with the last issue, if you are already waist-deep in this run, you'll probably want to keep wading further to reach the conclusion but it's unlikely that you'll be surprised by anything Williamson is offering here. Read Full Review

All of the good will that this book earned in the previous issue has been immediately lost as the most interesting plot points are almost immediately thrown away in favor of some more of the most predictable and boring storytelling you can think of. I've officially thrown in the towel when it comes to hoping that this story will rise in quality. At this point, I'm hoping that we quickly are able to defeat this newest villain and we can move into the next story arc where hopefully we will have some great storytelling, because clearly it isn't going to happen in this one. Prelude: Well, the last two issues were okay but they were really leading to this issue. Hopefully it's good or I'm going to be annoyed. The Good: Duce's art is passable. I do like the novelty of Barry and Eobard teaming up. The Bad: The dialogue felt really off this issue. The lettering and colouring was completely wrong not once but twice. It's sort of boring. Conclusion: It's not good. There's just too much that I just find meh to read.

This was fine, but I don't have much to say about it. And it's good to know the editors don't care enough to proofread the comics anymore. See: that page where Reverse Flash and Flash were suddenly switched.

The level of care shown by swapping Barry and Eobard’s lines twice on the same page really encapsulates my feelings about this comic.
