Doctor Fate #15

Doctor Fate continues to move along at its own pace and I both like and get a little frustrated by that. There are areas I want more of and I want a little more clarity and compression when it comes to the main storylines themselves but I also want more leisure time away from Fate to get to know the characters more. Levitz is definitely enjoying what he's doing here as there's an ease and smoothness to how it all unfolds where you can tell that he's certainly not feeling rushed. This issue also works really well with Sonny Liew back on the artwork as I just love his presentation of the characters and the fluidity of the solidness of them at times, notably with Fate himself. If you like your superhero stories action-packed you can't go wrong with Doctor Fate! Be warned though, this issue features less focus in regards to its usually strong social themes, though. Read Full Review

Doctor Fate continues to just putter along in the purgatory that is this series........ I mean, it's never ending and nothing ever really happens.  It's your normal run of the mill issue, where monsters come, Khalid tries and Kent Nelson does, while the art does it's thing that I personally don't enjoy, but conveys everything it needs to............ It's possible this was just a hiccup issue, needed to tie a couple of brilliant issues together, I'll never know because I'm finding it hard to remember which comic I'm typing about even now. 3/5 Read Full Review
