Nov 22, 2017I'm not sure where this story is going yet, but with the return of a more powerful Victim's Syndicate backed up by Anarky's genius mind, and great dialogue and spotlights for almost everyone (especially Batwoman and Clayface), this remains one of DC's best books. Read Full Review

Dark Knight News - Steve J Ray
Nov 24, 2017Batman's Gotham Knights are under threat, not just from a reunited Victim Syndicate, but from Gotham's own government. The title of this new arc isn't just a throwback to the story that started the Detective Comics DC Rebirth run, it's an ominous portent of what may be coming. The entire plan is coming together, as the 1.000th issue of Detective Comics creeps ever closer. Read Full Review

Nov 23, 2017It has to be said that Joe Bennett does an excellent job on this issue, particularly with the way that he makes his characters emote. The previously mentioned reunion is an artistic highlight that simply focuses on one young woman's face for an entire page...and it's great. Read Full Review

Nov 22, 2017In Detective Comics #969, there is a great emphasis placed on Gotham's needs and whether Batman having a team of vigilantes is right for the city. Reinsert Tim Drake into the equation, and you have a solid first issue in a new arc. Read Full Review

Batman-News - Brandon Mulholand
Nov 22, 2017What I really liked about this issue was that it took many of the loose ends that had been introduced over the course of Tynion's run and brought them all together in one place. That's not to say that any of them were truly resolved within this issue. After all, it's just part one of a larger story. But I get the impression that many of these plot points that Tynion has been weaving into his stories are about to come to some sort of a head within the current arc. And that's fairly exciting for those of us that have been with the book since the beginning of Rebirth. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Jim Werner
Nov 22, 2017This issue has a moment that everyone's been waiting for, but it fell flat and I think this book needs a change. The return of a very uninteresting set of villains doesn't help matters and overall, this issue was just boring. Read Full Review
