    So far, Danger Street has been a series both defined by and held back by its sheer ambition. With a cast of over 20 heroes, villains, and antiheroes from across the multiverse involved in a conspiracy ranging from local crime to a battle between ancient worlds, it's always felt sprawling and a little overwhelming. Which is why this issue, before the final acta two-character spotlight taking place entirely on a single rooftop, is so brilliant in its simplicity. Read Full Review

    Danger Street #9 is different from anything thats come before in this series. While it may seem odd to use so much dialogue in a book consisting of one large fight, King, Fornes, and Stewart use this opportunity to connect everything thematically in the overall grand scheme of the narrative.     There's something beautiful about Danger Street #9 that's straight out of the Seventh Seal. If it wasn't obvious yet, Danger Street is an impressively made parable for modern times utilizing modern superhero sensibilities. This issue does try your patience, but feels rewarding all the same.     Forns does find opportunity wherever it is available to depict elements like acceleration or unanticipated new elements, but so little of value is to be found in this particular confrontation that it cannot help but stand as a disappointment when compared to the 8 issues preceding it.
