While issue #1 was certainly grotesque in its depictions of Swampy, issue #2 is far more the horror story. Even better, it's a good horror story. Read Full Review

Len Wein and Kelley Jones give Convergence readers two things that they may not have seen in this Event...a horror comic and a totally satisfying story.  This is one of the few stories that got better with each page turn and ended in a way that wrapped it all up perfectly.  I want more Wein/Jones Swamp Thing,  Do you hear me DC? It's a shame that Convergence: Swamp Thing is only two issues long because Len Wein and Kelley Jones have a fantastic concept on their hands, and one that could easily work well if expanded. This is just a taste of what could be, but it's an excellent taste, and if Convergence brings us nothing else, at least this story came out of it. Read Full Review

Len Wein and Kelley Jones come together to tell an enjoyable tale inConvergence: Swamp Thing#2. It's nice to have a two issue tie-in that feels like it told a complete tale, even a simple one. That being said, this often feels like a Batman story rather than a chapter in Swamp Thing's narrative. And with so many Bat-related titles on the market, it's unfortunate that the Muck-Monster often feels overshadowed by the Dark Knight in his own book. Still,Convergence: Swamp Thing#2 is an enjoyable tie-in to the Convergence event, an a definite must for horror fans. Read Full Review

Convergence: Swamp Thing #1was far from a hit. Luckily,Convergence: Swamp Thing #2 turns a poor story into a fulfilling one. Both Wein and Jones improve into delivering a decent book, but they slightlymiss the mark. Read Full Review

This is one of my favourite Convergence books. Swamp Thing and Vampire Batman? Heck yeah! There's an actually ending as well and it's very good, worthy of bringing these characters together. Job well done Wein, Jones and team!

Everything felt really "low stakes" on the back half of the story. The vampire queen is dispatched as easily as the goons, and Batman's mission couldn't have been satisfying to him as he already determined it was all for not. I did not get the sense of meaningful closure from the character. Also, the art by Jones - one of my favourites - seemed more rushed here and didn't have the big splash and awe that issue #1 benefitted from.
