Punchline and her Royal Flush gang are causing mayhem in Alleytown and things are blowing up--literally!--so Catwoman calls in backup! We all know the cat has nine lives, and the same can be said about her gang! But what's a nine-person heist without a little danger, maybe some...death? And, uh-oh, those handcuffs definitely don't look like the sexy kind, but what's worse is Selina has bigger things to worry about right now: like her ex-lover and current lover in the same room! At least she's criminally good at being bad!

    COMICON - Scott Redmond

‘Catwoman' #50 continues to rock the title characters world in massive ways as the series hits a milestone issue, and prepares itself to enter the second year of the current creative team's run. Every bit of this issue shows just why Selina Kyle is such a powerful, popular, and long-lasting character and why her title has run so long when others have been relaunched or rebooted well before this milestone. And now Catwoman is...on a leash, so to speak. Its kind of a bold move for Howard. It would be really, really interesting to see Kyle gradually work her way up from rock bottom in one of the most totally awful places in all of Gotham City. If Howard is patient enough, the issues to come could be a potentially breathtaking look at the psyche of one of DCs longest-lived anti-heroes.  Read Full Review

While a little too much of it can be interpreted as overworkedeither in an offhand line of dialogue, a shockingly-obvious plot twist, or otherwiseit undeniably sets up a new status quo for the book going forward, and it is filled with snappy art from Nico Leon, Juan Ferreyra, and Inaki Miranda. The Batman Universe - Ian Miller

    Batman-News - Michael Escalante

    Dec 20, 2022

Catwoman #50 aims high, but its ambition stands in the way of nailing the most important beats. The assault on Ace Chemicals has far too many moving parts when more pages dedicated to Batman and Valmont's showdown could have made the emotional climax more convincing. As it stands, Howard's script gave itself too many plates to spin, losing sight at the strengths of her run, leaving an extended epilogue to pick up the pieces. While some developments in the story are welcome, Catwoman #50 often frustrates in its attempt to wring drama from a love triangle that never felt genuine. Read Full Review
