A focus on overcoming adversity through embracing yourself resonates flawlessly with Batwoman's character in Fear and Loathing pt. 3, making this a must-read issue. The artwork was the highlight for me in this issue. Fernando Blanco (with the help of colorist John Rauch) did a fantastic job of blending the themes of Wonderland with Crane's overlaying tones of imagery. Throw in some iconic images (such as Batwoman being tied up roses " presumably rope) and you've got a recipe for some beautiful full page images. The color palette was spot on as well " with the tones changing steadily but slowly throughout, indicating changes in events or emotion. Even the way Crane is portrayed changes when Kate is exposed to a different set of drugs. The attention to detail is astounding. Read Full Review

This issue is an improvement over the last couple of issues, but it is still some way from where I, and a lot of fans, would like it to be. Hopefully, after this arc we can get to talking about Batwoman's future rather than focussing on one element of her past. Read Full Review

Speakingof whom, hes got a bit of a new look this time around. Less farm decoration,more bio-terrorist, complete with gas mask. But is he still truly a scarecrow?Or more of a Fear-monger? Batwoman #9 continues an already taxing story that most readers will most likely be fed up of at this point. Not only have we continued the Many Arms of Death storyline but we also revisit Kate's relationship with Colony Prime and spend most of the issue dealing with an argument that they have debatably had several times before. Nothing really changes in this issue and so far it has played out exactly as expected and that's not a good thing. Read Full Review

Wow. This was probably the best issue of the run so far. A lot of character beats for Kate and even Colony Prime, and their bickering was great. Trippy, creepy visuals, appropriate for Scarecrow. I can't say much more without getting spoilery, but this was highly enjoyable, and any flaws were minor.

The third part, and the one I fell in love in watching the previous peak. Batwoman & colony prime have to team up to escape & both are under the effect of Crane's chimicals. This issue begin with a promess ... Seen Batwoman becoming something else & succeed to lead us her, even if that not what we expected. & Bennett do a find job to make us care for Colony prime. Cover : I take the variant. 2/2 Story : Nice, I like the part Batwoman keep is intellect & use her mask to see what is really around her. Nice. 3/3 Arts : All the trip page (Special the splash page on two page with scarecrow) is fantastic. Less when he work in the reality. 2.5/3 Feelings : I'm not disappointed by my try. I find Blanco art rewarding & very interesting. I wi ll keep him in sight. I'm not persuaded to be their for the conclusion through. Like I tell I'm not that interested in Batwoman well being ^^ 1/2 more
