Batman: The Brave & The Bold #13 makes some bold choices, debuting some amazing new stories and a special one-shot story. Like I said at the start of this review, this is the ideal point for a new reader to jump on, and I highly recommend everyone does so. I feel like it's only going to get better from here! The latest grab bag of The Brave and The Bold proves to largely be full of positives, from Mark Russell and Jon Mikel's delightfully zany Booster Gold and Jurassic League crossover, to Deliah S. Dawson and Serg Acuna's emotional and cathartic finale to their Artemis tale. Read Full Review

This is a fairly enjoyable issue of The Brave and the Bold. While it doesn't hit any extreme highs, both Time Jerks and The Invader set up fun stories that I'm excited to keep reading, and there's still stuff to like in the weaker stories of this anthology. Just cut it out with the Batman-Joker obsessive trauma bonding stuff. Read Full Review

A much more consistent anthology stories. The Nbightwing, UFO, Jurassic League story stood out, but my favorite part was the final story where Batman has to deal with someone who killed the Joker

I must be tripping, because I didn't hate the Tim Seeley story in this anthology. I'm hardly ever a fan of his but something about this story mostly worked. Maybe it's the overt horror influence, or maybe Seeley was a bit inspired this time. The Time Jerks story with Booster and the Jurassic League ended up being one of the weaker stories, I feel. It was fun but I ultimately didn't need to see a part two. The Artemis story ends and it didn't feel like much of a conclusion. In fact, now that it's wrapped up, I can say that I don't think this story really needed to be told. We get some good character stuff sure, but ultimately, I don't think anything happening here couldn't be saved for something else. The Invader is so weird and I a ctually love it. I can't wait to see where it goes. And the Perp Walk might be the first B&W story I actually really loved. I thought it was very, very well done. more
