The origin of Batman...together with the origin of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? The stories are familiar, but through the prism of this altered reality, clearly not the same. Jul 03, 2019This has been a mini-series thats delivered beyond measure and really has that epic feel. This was another issue that seemed to fly by way too fast, which is par for the course for one of DCs most entertaining mini-series. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - CJ
Jul 03, 2019Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III #3 reminds us that for all the fight scenes and crossover highs, it's emotion " first and foremost " that keeps us invested in these stories. And now that we're at the halfway point, I hope that emotion continues to be a driving force behind this series. Read Full Review

Jul 08, 2019To say that I'm loving this series is an understatement. Seeing an all-new version of Batman is one thing, but tying him into the Turtles' universe is nothing short of inspired. Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III #3 has all the action, thrills and laughs that comic-book fans crave and deserve, but add a whole new level of creativity and inventiveness. Read Full Review

Jul 03, 2019Overall, Batman/TMNT III continues to be a very fun conclusion to the crossover trilogy and is so far shaping up to be the best of the bunch. With everyone realizing what is at stake, what they have to do, and recruiting who they need to get there I look forward to how the creative team will bring this series home. The entire creative team has brought some luster back to the old trilogy ending. Read Full Review

Jul 03, 2019Whatever the story may (or may not) lack in appeal, the art is wonderful. I appreciate agood watercolor wash as much as the next reader, but it can be a challenge tomerge it effectively with the heavy pen & ink work of Turtles creator KevinEastman. But this series pulls it off nicely. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez
Jul 09, 2019Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III #3 accomplished its main goal to the series to next phase in the story. James Tynion IV, Freddie Williams II and Kevin Eastman packed plenty of emotion into this issue as Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started to uncover the truth about this new merged universe. The conclusion of this issue creates a lot of possibilities for where Tynion, Williams and Eastman can take this story as we head into the endgame. Read Full Review

Jul 03, 2019Less focused and more expository than the previous two issues, this is still a pretty solid installment of an overall really good series. While the retelling and combining of Batman and the Turtles' origins won't reinvent the wheel, they're still presented in a way that never feels entirely derivative. With some clever twists and welcome appearances from some beloved characters, this issue is setting up some pretty interesting storytelling opportunities for the second half of the series. While I may have just liked this issue, I'm still kind of loving the series as a whole. Read Full Review

Jul 03, 2019The idea New Gotham City, this amalgamation of the DC Universe and the Turtles mythology, is fascinating. Yet we're spending almost no time exploring it. Instead, we're searching out those least changed by it so revert things back. That's the endgame in any situation, but going in that direction with little time to meander seems like such a missed opportunity. Read Full Review
