Even with this issue being a fast read, it still gives you everything you want from a Batman Beyond book and it looked great the whole way through.  We're finally getting this book back on track with the developments of this issue and I finally find myself really looking forward to whatever happens next. It remains be seen if the big mystery surrounding a defaced Bruce Wayne pays off, but Jurgens attention to McGinnis and Tans history is a curious one. In a way, this issue repositions McGinnis as a more mature character. Could this be suggests a deeper and more defining story arc? This writer definitely hopes so. Read Full Review

As is typical with the Rebirth titles, we get a strong mix of the classic and the new in this issue. Terry has returned as Batman, but he has to contend with more people knowing his secret identity. For the most part I'm quite enjoying this series so far. It had a little bit of a rocky start but picked up nicely. It's been keeping me intrigued and looking forward to what's coming next. Although I do kind of wish it was the Joker Terminal had in his possession but that's just me. Still cool that it's Bruce and it makes a lot more sense with how Terminal is paying for everything. The art in this issue is decent. Some panels could use a bit more attention to the background but the characters, colors and shading all looked good. Read Full Review

Lots of good build up but there has been enough of an introduction for this comic. It's time to see what Terry can do as a Batman without Bruce Wayne constantly backing him up. Hes had a long ride as a character and he deserves to finally spread his wings fly. Read Full Review

Batman Beyond #4 is the comic book equivalent of Lost: Season 3" It's not needed. There's so much repetition in this arc that I'm ready for Terminal to go away, Bruce to hurry up and get back in the picture, so Curare can show up and start slicing and dicing stuff. Read Full Review

...probably my favorite issue of BATMAN BEYOND since his, DCU/post-FUTURES END, series began, . A big part of that is the art,by Pete Woods,and the new costume; both of which serve to separate this series from its cartoon counterpart (something that has been sorely needed). SCORE: 7.7
