The creators are able to capture the crime comic feel that made that book such a treat for ’00s readers and combine it with the insanity of an event like Batman: Bad Seeds, creating a compelling book that will hook you from the first page. You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Sep 09, 2026There’s dramatic potential of stories centered on normal people in a world of gods, goddesses, monsters and theatrical crime fighters. It's not often explored in great depth, though. The average person on the street would be remarkably relatable in a world where everything is completely unbalanced and there's an earth-threatening crisis every couple of months. It was good but not a patch on the Brubaker Rucka classic.
Was hoping we'd see Romy, Marcus, Maggie or Montoya - but no.
I like Bad Seeds when it's focused on what's actually happening to Gotham - not the utterly trite Harley and Ivy melodrama.+ Like • Comment -
