Batman '89 #6 is a good wrap-up to this series, though it seems like it could have been expanded upon more. For instance, it would've been nice to hear more about Catwoman's psychiatrist, potentially setting the stage for a sequel series. It also seems like the prospect of Barbara becoming Batgirl is slim to none in this universe, but you never know. A spinoff of Catwoman and Barbara working together would be very interesting for sure. It would be cool if DC gave us more of this Batman in the future. Perhaps a future series could show Robin Williams as the Riddler since he was once rumored to play the Riddler opposite Keaton's Batman. Read Full Review

Batman '89 #6 brings the comic interpretation of Burton's scuttled third film with a finale with great-looking characters but little more to crow about. It's over. There isn't much more for me to say. I wanted to love this book, and held out hope as long as I could, but even the few bright spots that I held onto didn't pay off in the end. The art is nice, and I'd love to see this team on a different book, but the writing never got any better than "interesting. And really, it rarely rose above that. A fitting poor end to such a poor story. If I gained anything from this it's a new appreciation for Batman Forever. It wasn't what we hoped for, but it could have been worse. It could have been THIS. If you were holding out for the collected edition you may rather check out the $1 comic bins at your shop for the unsold issues and save money. Just because it's connected to the original Burton movies doesn't mean it will be a timeless classic like them. The best part about this mini-series is that it's finally over. If there's ever a sequel in the works I think I'll pass.
