While this issue is a bridge between the New 52 and Rebirth, it's one worth crossing. I don't know anyone, or at least anyone that loves comics who can pass up a good Dark Knight story"honestly anyone?! BATGIRL #52 is a strong issue that I'd recommend for those who enjoyed the Burnside run as a whole. Those excited for the upcoming REBIRTH BATGIRL and BATGIRL & THE BIRDS OF PREY series will also want to check it out, as Fletcher lays the groundwork for both. Read Full Review

Brenden Fletcher turns off the lights on Batgirl's time in Burnside and while I can't say that this is a "must read" it was a nice ending that fans of Team Batgirl's run should enjoy.  Barbara is heading off to her Rebirth journey and Fletcher and Carlini throw her a going away party and all her fans are invited.  If you are looking for me at the party, I am definitely not the one with the lampshade on my head! While I was disappointed with some of Eleonora Carlini's artwork on this book, the good parts of it really stand out strong. Batgirl has effectively divested herself of all her previous contacts and wrapped up the Gladius Commander plotline. This issue feels a bit rushed in the art, but not in the story-telling, and doesn't dwell on the silliness that's come before. Fletcher has done a great job of making sure this title ended with some dignity. After what we've seen from the Burnside run, that's about the best we could have hoped for. My final thoughts on the issue are the same as my first words on it. The series as a whole was an angel's grasp pulling us away from the dreck that was Simone's editorially dictated run. It's always going to be one of the most drastic quality changes in a comic series' life for me. But beyond the outside shenanigans, Burnside Batgirl was a reliably fun, engaging, beautifully drawn read with characters whose lifespans were cut down way too quickly. Read Full Review

"Batgirl" #52 is a so-so finale to a series that was typically so much better. Having to wind things down without most of the regular creative team must have been deflating, because it certainly comes across that way. This past run of "Batgirl" was exciting and innovative, but this issue just lacks that energy and fun. It's really just average, and readers have come to expect a bit more than that. Overall, this is a disappointing finale. I've truly loved this series and this team so I'm sad to see it end; I just wish that the book reflected those emotions. The dialogue is still fun and the action is cool but the heart this team usually conveys so well, for some reason, doesn't come through for me. It's not terrible or even bad; I'm just ambivalent towards it which is disappointing. I would recommend waiting for the trade on this one. Read Full Review

The series wraps up to leave fans of this run at least with a conclusion to the Burnside Batgirl story...but so much is packed in and ultimately it all feels a bit underwhelming after being a very solid run from Fletcher.

Wasted my time reading all that garbage. Quality went good to shit, artstyle, story etc. Batgirl in her own comics seems like that nympho girl who loves whoring around. Giving her a random ass relationships, one is from latino thug named Ricky, one is Lucious Fox's son, lmao and many other dudes that she had night with after parties etc. Shit is all over the place. Libtards sure loves promoting interracial relationships.
