I was not expecting to explore the depths of these characters in this way at all. The whole premise promises to put a unique spin on the 'buddy-cop comic' genre, but now we're talking about purpose and what life is when that's uprooted?! I am absolutely here for it all. Aquaman/ Green Arrow: Deep Target #4 maintains the fun of the previous issues of the series. It has some emotional depth to distinguish itself from the typical Silver Age stories it homages. Additionally, the continued references to other comics/books/movies elevates the fun factor. For a fun, escapist read with some nostalgia thrown in for seasoning it gets the job done. Aquaman / Green Arrow: Deep Target #4 is another lousy issue in a bad series.  Brandon Thomas continues his timeline-changing mystery, but the real secret is why this book even exists.  If DC Comics wants things to improve, they must stop allowing books like this to hit the shelves. Maybe if you're reading it just for fun, there's redeeming value, but when these two characters deserve more substantial adventures, this is just not it. Read Full Review

I should be honest. I have been in a very odd sleep cycle lately. As in, I've been sleeping very little. Don't cry for me, I'm already dead. As a result of that though, I cannot remember what happened in this issue whatsoever. I wrote down a score when I did read it, but... how I came to that score has been lost to time and there's not much incentive for me to reread this issue.

I still find the voices for the characters completely wrong but the art is still very good and there were at least two pages of dialogue that I liked. Brandon Thomas is still not a good writer and I don't think that will change very soon.
