Im not always a fan of Philip Brioness work. While his art is reminiscent and inspired by John Byrne, his inking can be at time too light and insufficient to correctly strengthen his figures. Not this time. His work is outstanding this issue with great facility for action scenes. Youll believe that Aquaman is jumping off the ground easily. Read Full Review

With time being a reoccurring theme throughout Rebirth, speculation of who this hooded man is running wild like a forest fire. Mr. Oz seems like a far reach, since this appears to be underwater. Maybe, its just a coincidence and the man just made an egotistical statement by calling himself the future, only time will tell. We also see a shift in Mera and Arthur's relationship, will Aquaman heed her message or is his desire for approval causing a change in him? Read Full Review

A pretty unsatisfying conclusion to this story arc includes a bit of pushback by Mera against Aquaman, probably the issue's main redeeming scene. Despite this yarn having gone for four or five issues, the ending sees half-finished. Maybe the rest comes after the next DC Comics reboot. Read Full Review

An interesting evolution to the Dead Water character that I did not see coming. A good conclusion to this arc and I can't wait to see what Abbott has for us next.
