There honestly wasn't much wrong with this issue. Abnett's story keeps building and building, with the writer excellently using the horror elements he presents and crafts a tight, very human-driven story with Aquaman making sporadic appearances here and there. Aquaman and Mera just discovered an alien universe that could be a potential threat to their world. Even if this story is contained in the Aquaman territory, I think it'll still be a high intensity story, that is definitely worth reading. Read Full Review

Scot Eatons work is solid as usual. Although some of the alien creatures on Tethis look cool, his strength is with technology scenes and military gear. But no worries. Aquaman and Mera look swell when they swim! Read Full Review

Some interesting developments with Strange Water and an incremental passage of time still left me a little disappointed in this underwater horror tale that's just going on too long. Although I have fun picking nits, Aquaman is a good book. I daresay, even, one of the best DC is currently publishing. Unfortunately, we're due for a smaller dose of the sea kind, as come July he gets demoted to monthly status and will see a price hike to $3.99. Even with Stjepan Sejic coming on board for art, I'm not sure that's the best way to lure in new readers. Read Full Review

H2.0 continues to be great and is one of the better Aquaman stories since Geoff John's run. Some pretty big surprises here and Abnett seems to be on a roll. Three great issues in a row.

I've been loving Dan Abnett's AQUAMAN. In fact, and I've said this before, REBIRTH has given me a new level of respect for Mr. Abnett as the hardest working man at DC...And even his worst storylines (like H2.O is for me) are still good. I haven't loved this arc but only just put my finger on why. Growing up in the'80s, I saw this story in ALIENS and its myriad imitators (except here, we have a little PACIFIC RIM thrown in). Still, I've never enjoyed reading AQUAMAN more (and, yes, that includes Geoff Johns' run) and look forward to the future as hinted at in this issue's subplot. SCORE: 7.6

can we kill off this guy Scavenger, already? pretty forced story the whole way though. lots of jumping to conclusions. ok. it isn't horrible. I'll keep reading.
