Jul 24, 2024While we're only two issues in, it makes you wonder if this concept would have been better executed as a novel, because even though the artwork in the book is impressive, it fails to ignite much excitement about the exploits our characters are engaging in. Still, all the pieces of this story with all its religious mythology and monsters and occult organizations are interesting on their own, this specific recipe in issue two just doesn't entirely come together as satisfyingly as in the debut installment. Plot Stan Siegel gets his daughter with his father, Benny, who abandoned him to follow his religious cult related to Solomon's ring, Stan, his daughter and her mother argue with him because of his selfishness. Benny tells the importance of the land of the Boston baseball stadium, where in 1649 Solomon Franco unleashed a curse and there is a door to the underworld. At that moment the Nazis appear to take King Solomon's ring, Stan writes what he wants and by eating the piece of paper he makes everything happen in slow motion, the potential of his power is only limited by his imagination. They escape and appear inside the stadium and the three defeat Ram, the protector of the portal and now the three go to the underworld to give King Solom more
